Types of Jackets

Our innovative waterproof technologies are the basis of our waterproof fabrics. Before we can call a jacket waterproof, the fabric must first be tested using a hydrostatic head machine. This process checks how much downward water pressure our treated fabric can withstand before water starts to penetrate it. Put simply, the higher the output number, the more waterproof the fabric.
Regatta Isotex products have varying levels of waterproof protection. The rating starts at 5,000mm (which is already very waterproof) and can reach up to 20,000mm, which visually would translate to a 20 metre high column worth of direct water pressure against the fabric. So you can be rest assured our waterproof jackets will keep you dry and comfortable in wet weather.
Softshell jackets are a great alternative to a traditional waterproof jacket and can be typically worn when hiking or scrambling. The flexible, tightly woven fabric shields you from the wind and provides greater freedom for active comfort and movement. The water-repellent finish provides added protection from the rain in changeable weather conditions.

Insulated jackets are designed to provide warmth and comfort in cold weather conditions by trapping the bodies heat and preventing heat loss. They can be worn as an outer layer or as part of a layering system. The level of protection can depend on the fill type, and the fill weight ranges from core warmth, lightweight, midweight and heavyweight. All our insulation technologies are made from synthetic materials. The quick dry, water-repellent fibres, keep you warm even when wet, for added all-day comfort.
Designed specifically for everyday outdoor life, these jackets let you control your temperature dependant on your activity. Busy on the go – no need to reach for extra layers – if you find yourself shivering at the school gate, teeth chattering on the touchline or chilly on the commute, just turn up the heat for self-regulating temperature management. Each jacket requires a USB Power Bank (sold separately) with 3 heat settings for precise heating control for over 6 hours. With a waterproof temperature controller and thermal cut-off to protect against overheating – you can even machine wash at an environmentally-friendly 30°C.
Our innovative Brite Light range includes waterproof and breathable jackets with wearable torch technology. Jacket Features to Look Out For

Hood
Many of our jackets come with hoods to keep you dry whatever the weather. From adjustable, grown on or detachable, to technical wire peaked hoods designed to keep their shape.
Taped Seams
All products stated as waterproof must have taped seams. During the production process seams create thousands of needle holes that water can penetrate through. In order to prevent this, a thermoplastic tape can be applied over the seam using heat and pressure. This process will seal the seams keeping the wearer dry and warm.
Stretch
Stretch fabric is ideal for high energy outdoor activities giving the wearer greater comfort and movement.
Heated Panel Technology
Turn up the heat with our innovative, battery powered heat technology. Power bank battery operated with core/multiple heat zones to keep you warm on the inside.
Integrated Torch Technology
Battery powered wearable torch technology, powered by an AAA battery pack.
Brite Light Technology
Wearable torch and Bluetooth headphone sound technology. LED torch in hood peak, powered by an AAA battery pack. Headphones are rechargeable by USB.
Underarm Vent
Openings located under the arms on a range of our rain jackets and shells. Designed to help with air flow and the release of any excess body heat. Leaves you feeling more comfortable and fresh when wearing a waterproof/breathable or non-breathable outer jacket. Also allows for freedom of movement.
Waist Cord
Used to prevent wind chill when tightened to keep you warm outdoors. When loosened it allows for more ventilation and air flow.
Adjustable Cuffs
Some of our waterproof jackets and coats feature adjustable cuffs. When tightened, this will prevent water dripping down your sleeves.
