St Anne's Kite Festival - what a scorcher

We have been hitting the road all summer, enjoying and sharing festivals from Keswick Beer Festival  to Ireland’s very own Bray Air Festival. Last week our adventure took us to the wonderful seaside town of St Anne’s, where we enjoyed two fun-filled days at the annual Kite Festival. The sun was shining and kites were flying, it was a kaleidoscope of colour and quite magical watching the parade of animals float through the sky.

Being the seasoned adventurers we are, we know only too well it’s best to prepare for every type of weather when heading to the beach. And so, we packed our wellies alongside waterproof jackets (I took my favourite, the Bayeux Jacket), but we didn't need them, in fact sun hats and sunglasses were the order of the day.

Our very own instant postcard maker proved to be a huge hit with everyone. Mums, dads, grandmas, babies and even some dogs came to have their picture snapped before setting up camp to enjoy the spectacle of kites and performers.

Be sure to take a look at all the brilliant snapshots we took over the weekend, you can view them over on our tag board, you might even spot someone you know.

And last, but not least can we add a big thank you to everyone who was lucky enough to be there and came by to see us, it was fantastic - we loved hearing about all the different adventures you take. And not that we advocate favouritism, but we loved the wonderful lady with a new born baby, who told us every single day had been adventure since she the recent addition to the family. We couldn't agree more.

Next stop Kendal Calling, we hope to see you there
