With the kids broken up from school and all work responsibilities on hold until the New year, I decided to get the whole family in the festive mood and took a trip to Winter Wonderland at Event City in Manchester. With the promise of fairground rides, circus acts, the Sooty show and Santa all under one roof it was going to be a real treat for the kids and it did not disappoint!
Upon entry we were greeted by a very cheerful elf that welcomed the crowd and gave out useful information about all the attractions inside. The entry ticket entitled us to four hours of constant fun, with the kids able to jump on any ride they wanted - once you were inside all rides were free. Our first stop was the circus show with some impressive aerial acrobatics along with a Gangnam Style dancing matador and bull which the kids found very amusing!
The reindeer ride was a highlight for Sophie, whilst Oscar preferred the classic helter-skelter slide, but there was plenty inside to suit each of my three children with rides Mum and Dad could enjoy too! Food was available inside in the form of a cafe and individual stalls although was a little pricey but the kids were too busy running around enjoying themselves to worry about eating. We all really enjoyed the experience and will be visiting again next year should it return to Manchester! The Littler Family.
